Born and raised right here in the Rogue Valley, Steve Asher has a particularly strong connection with the pioneering, entrepreneurial spirit that is synonymous with the Southern Oregon lifestyle.

   Graduating with honors with a degree in Research Psychology and Computer Science from the University of Oregon in 1975, Steve worked his way through college on numerous construction sites in almost every capacity as a builder. Steve found he had an inherent ability to not only visualize designs but to also execute the construction of those designs with expert precision.

   Inspired to return to his roots and earn money for graduate school, Steve came back to the Rogue Valley and began working as a general contractor. A rapidly burgeoning love of the creative homebuilding process and the rewards associated with turning someone’s dreams into reality gave Steve the personal satisfaction to continue to pursue homebuilding as a profession. Only 2 short years later Steve founded Asher Homes, Inc. in 1977.

   Over the past 25 years, Steve, along with a talented team of professionals, has effectively built Asher Homes Inc. into the premiere award-winning custom home building company that it is today. He attributes his success to one simple principle; providing excellent and uncompromising customer service and satisfaction to his clients, along with the very best in design, project management, craftsmanship and quality materials that go into every Asher Home.
